Finding balance

ALL , WE OTTAWA

By Jennifer Horvath on June 21, 2016

Life is busy and time flies, so it is important to find balance in such a chaotic world.

Yoga is one way to achieve this balance. There are a few benefits to practicing yoga such as better sleep, a higher immune system, and feeling more relaxed on a day-to-day basis.

These benefits are caused by the breathing exercises as well as muscle control and development in the body. Yoga improves your flexibility, builds your muscle strength, perfects your posture, prevents joint breakdown, protects your spine, increases your blood flow, relaxes your system, and improves your balance. These are just a small handful, but the list goes on and on.

If you are interested in trying yoga and gaining some balance in your life, St. Charles Market will be having yoga sessions this summer. Each class is an hour long every Sunday on the front lawn of the Church. These classes will continue every Sunday from 10:30-11:30 now until August 21st, and are only $5.

Alison Melia is the yoga teacher who created her own company called, The Shift, to help others heal on a physical, mental, and spiritual level. All levels are welcome, so come on out!
